Description
EMILLID BAHAMA has launched its latest masterpiece: the MAXCV486CT380 extreme oversized driver head, which offers the highest playability and customization compatibility among Japan’s oversized drivers! The head weight can be customized and adjusted from 183g to 207g (it can easily fit and adjust swing weight balance with any length of new or old shafts). Available for everyone—men, women, and children—various weight specifications and angles can be provided. The material is made from DAT55G titanium alloy, produced by DAIDO Steel Corporation in Japan. DAT55G belongs to beta titanium, which has significantly better performance than other α titanium (such as the commonly used 6-4 titanium). It is typically used in enthusiast-level driver heads where material cost is not a major consideration and represents the highest-grade titanium alloy material currently available for driver heads.
This limited edition boasts numerous highlights. First and foremost, its head size exceeds the R&A international regulation limit of 460cc, reaching an impressive 486cc. This expansion significantly increases the effective hitting area and sweet spot, while also dramatically improving the clubhead’s MOI (Moment of Inertia) value, further enhancing forgiveness. As a result, for the first time, the lion head has incorporated the term “MAX” in its model name to emphasize its exceptionally high tolerance and reassuring performance for users.
In addition to its oversized design, the face’s coefficient of restitution (COR) meets the current ceiling standard for materials. The Emillid Bahama driver will offer customers both a compliant version with a CT value below 250 and a version with a CT value of around 300, as well as an extremely oversized version with a CT value exceeding 380. The newly launched MAX486 is the CT380+ extreme oversized version. Unlike the previous two face thicknesses, the extremely oversized version features a face made from Japan’s top-quality DAT55G titanium, combined with a unique forging formula and multiple heat treatment processes, greatly enhancing its rebound performance compared to the compliant version. This provides a significant increase in flight distance for players with slower swing speeds or less power.
The MAX 486 is an upgrade based on the best-selling CV8 head from Japan’s Emillid Bahama, inheriting and enhancing all the advantages of the CV8, such as low spin, high penetration, and a pleasing sound at impact. It also integrates the angle adjustment feature from the CV9, allowing for quick changes and adjustments to the shaft and head angles. The five-screw weight adjustment design of the clubhead provides players with over 20 grams of weight adjustment options, greatly enhancing personalization possibilities.
This dual oversized driver is undoubtedly set to become one of the absolute star products in the upcoming golf driver market, attracting attention not only with its innovative design and outstanding performance but also meeting the diverse needs of golfers with its high adjustability. In contrast to many oversized drivers that lack weight or angle adjustment options, its playability and functionality are significantly enhanced. Additionally, its hosel design is compatible with the universal seven-in-one hosels commonly used in international workshops, making testing different shafts convenient and quick. Overall, the CV MAX 486 driver represents the latest pinnacle of golf club design from Japan’s Emillid Bahama, offering an exceptional hitting experience for perfection-seeking players.
