Do not buy on flex alone

TPT uses its own fitting and profile system, so treating a particular designation as a direct match for your current regular, stiff or extra-stiff shaft is risky. Flex labels are not an industry standard. Two shafts marked stiff can differ significantly in weight, torque, balance point, bend profile and how they feel during transition.

Start with your current club as a reference, then test alternatives at the same playable length and sensible swing weight. One defined goal makes the fitting more useful than simply hitting several expensive shafts and choosing the one that produces a single perfect shot.

Use your current club as the benchmark. Compare ball speed, launch, spin, carry, total distance, dispersion and strike pattern, then pay attention to what your hands tell you during transition. If two options produce similar data, choose the one you can swing freely under pressure. The shaft that makes you guide the club is rarely the right answer.
