Graphite Design Tour AD FI Shaft

The Tour AD FI, the new 2026 model, is engineered to be a "new standard" for high-launch, high-ball-speed shafts. Set for release in September 2025, it's designed to revolutionise ball flight by maximising the performance of modern low-spin, low-centre-of-gravity driver heads.

The shaft carries over technology from the previous Tour AD GC model, which helps control twisting and deformation during the swing. This design leads to a more consistent impact and higher ball speeds. The FI introduces several new technologies to further enhance its performance:

Core Technologies

Tornado Tip Technology: The shaft's tip is reinforced with a special technique to create a unique, "sticky" feel and promote a higher launch angle compared to previous models.

New Shape: The tip section is designed with a wider internal diameter to improve its ring rigidity. This allows for increased tip stiffness and better deformation control without adding unnecessary weight.

AD Shield: This technology uses circumferential carbon fibres to prevent the shaft from deforming during the swing. By increasing the tip's rigidity, it creates a more uniform stiffness profile from the butt to the tip, resulting in a more balanced and integrated feel throughout the swing.

Positioning on the Tour AD Shaft Matrix

Based on the official positioning map, the Tour AD FI is designed for a golfer looking to achieve a high launch angle with a neutral-to-slight fade bias.

Launch: The FI is positioned in the upper half of the chart, indicating it is engineered for a high ball flight. This makes it a great choice for golfers who need help getting the ball up in the air to maximise carry distance.

Shot Shape: Located on the right side of the chart, closer to the "FADE" side, the FI is built to promote a straight shot or a subtle fade. It is an excellent option for players who want to reduce a hook or prefer to work the ball from left to right.
